Much needed day off (Vol. III)
Quote of the day: "I woke up with my head feeling like it was about three sizes too small."
The quote says it all. Not hungover though, just sick. I hate being sick. I'm glad I don't have to work today, so I can rest up and try to shake off this head cold.
Last night I covered a wild basketball game--AAA First Round, Blackhawk 68, Greensburg Salem 66. The kid for Blackhawk scored six points in the last 10 seconds, including three free thows with 0.6 seconds left. But I'll refrain from describing too much, just check out the story if you're interested.

I'm watching the Finland-U.S. hockey game on television right now, and I've gotta say, the U.S. is amazingly mediocre. There's no reason Finland, as well as they've been playing, shouldn't light up the States... but it's 2-2 in the 2nd, go figure... wait, as soon as I typed that, Olli Jokinen just made it 3-2 Finland. I don't really care until Australia fields a hockey team--my mind's already on the upset path that's going to be blazed at the World Baseball Classic.
Tonight will probably hold a poker night at T's in Swissvale. They have awesome wings, so maybe I'll get the hot ones and try to burn this cold away. If nothing else, it should clear my sinuses.
That about does it for now, it's nice to be back in Pittsburgh and know I'm not traveling or leaving town for a while. Stability can be relaxing...
