Collared shirt and boxers (Vol. V)
"Oh, Frylock.. The Highlander was a documentary... and the events happened in real time."
Ok, I couldn't think of a good title, so I looked at what I was wearing... lo and behold. And the quote is because Aqua Teen is on.
Could next week get here any slower? I'm looking forward to NYC, even though Pitt's loss to WVU tonight pretty much assures that I'm gonna need to get there for a Wednesday game. Still need definite lodging, so anyone who reads this, feel free to offer up! :)
I've said this a number of times in person, but I need to put it on record: The DaVinci Code will be the best movie of 2006 if it stays remotely close to the book. Such a good book, don't listen to what my people in the pointy hats are saying... it's a work of fiction, lighten up. Then again, I'm proudly a member of a church that didn't officially recognize that geocentrism was false until sometime in the 19th century. But at least we created Mardi Gras!
Speaking of which, I'm working on Mardi Gras tomorrow night... only leaves me three hours from off work to last call.
I'm sad the Winter Olympics are done... I'm gonna miss the curling, the hockey, the short-track speed skating and the feel of Australia winning medals being such a complete upset. Conference basketball championship week will remedy that quickly.
And to end on a total guy note, I'm lamenting a poker loss tonight. Ten dollar tournament, I had 10 10, raised pre-flop, one caller. Flop: 6 8 9 rainbow. Other guy bet small, I went all-in over the top. He calls, shows J 6, catches a J on the turn. How one calls with a hand like that is kind of special. And not special like J.J. Redick's shooting ability. Special like Sean Penn in I Am Sam. And as good a movie as it was, that's not the kind of special you want to be.
O well, such is life. I repeat, anyone who can either put me up in NY or wants to come along and split a place, let me know.
